Biography

I'm Angie Macias, and I've spent the last decade growing within my credit union - starting as a Teller, moving through Deposit Services, and Fraud & Systems, and ultimately identifying a structural gap in how our systems, vendors, and fraud controls aligned. In response, I partnered with leadership to design and formalize a Technical Operations function for my credit union. I now serve as Technical Operations Manager, leading the strategy and governance behind the work. I hold AAP and NCP accreditations and am currently pursuing the AFPP certification to expand my knowledge in Faster Payments and stay ahead of industry evolution. I am passionate about transforming complex operational challenges into practical, scalable solutions - from building fraud lifecycle workflows, member account review systems, designing cross-departmental processes, to implementing system governance and access control frameworks that enhance efficiency, strengthen security, and improve member experience. Being recognized for this award is an honor, and I remain committed to continuing to contribute to the future of payments and the growth of our industry.
