An ODFI's Guide to ACH Origination Agreements

ACH origination services require a comprehensive understanding of risk. As faster payments continue to progress and more community banks and credit unions offer ACH services, it's imperative they become prepared to identify and determine party liability to mitigate or at least minimize these risks. This isn't limited to financial institutions. Originators should know their obligations to ODFIs, as well as their responsibilities.
