Date 04:05 PM - 04:55 PM (0 hours 50 minutes)

Payments in Practice

In today’s era of big data and payments transformation, consumers are increasingly concerned about differing protections and how their data is be collected, stored, used, and shared. Transparency around protections and data usage is viewed as being particularly important in financial services. A recent survey revealed that nearly 70% of consumers wanted financial institutions to deliver greater data protection. Another 80% indicated they were uncomfortable sharing financial data without knowing it was fully secure. In the session, speakers examine the ever-evolving world of commerce and new payment rails and how ecosystem participants are collaborating to ensure consumers are empowered with the information they need and want as they navigate more payment choices with different protections and risks. Attendees come away from the session with an understanding of the importance of consent compliance when operating across borders, ensuring opt-out features are in place and how to recognize opportunities for improvement.
