Payment Hubs Demystified: Why They Are The Future of Payments Processing

Payment hubs are more than 20 years old, with hundreds of deployments around the world. Yet, for many, they remain something of a nebulous term. This session sets out to explain what a hub is (or isn’t), why FIs need them, and why they are the future of payment processing. Using real-life examples from FIs around the world, this session will demonstrate the need for FIs to modernize their payments, the benefits for doing so and the ways in which a hub can help them deliver value to them and their clients. Attendees come away from the session with an understanding of how to navigate the myriad acronyms and phrases from PaaS to hubs and to focus on the things they need to worry about. It will provide a practical guide to how to start their journey, the things to consider, how to choose a solution provider and share some hard-won valuable lessons of what to do—and not to do. Finally, the session will give the audience a glimpse into what’s next in hubs including AI, smart routing, payments intelligence and the cloud.
