As of March 2024, the number of FIs on both RTP and FedNow has surpassed 500. But how are instant payments being delivered to the businesses and consumers who need to move money? FedNow and RTP connect financial institutions. It’s up to the FIs to innovate and offer instant payments products – directly or through partners. Overlay services provided by financial institutions and their partners will drive adoption.
