How is the nominee propelling the industry forward?
Adam is a recognized thought leader advancing both institutional innovation and broader industry progress in payments. He led a cross-functional working group with Early Warning Services to pilot an alias-based Request for Payment message, helping shape network design parameters that enhanced the biller experience for Zelle Bill Pay. Across client segments, Adam has championed automation through advanced account validation, RTP and reporting APIs. A strong advocate for ACH API adoption, he has supported improvements to B2B merchant settlement for some of the world’s largest card networks and played a key role in identifying and addressing ACH micro-deposit fraud for a major Same Day ACH originator — an effort that contributed to a Nacha rule change on micro-deposit timing. Adam also gathered customer requirements to enable his institution’s first ACH Point-of-Purchase transactions supporting QR-based merchant payments and holds a patent pending for advanced payment initiation and retry logic using API-driven controls. Through his work on RTP initiation and retries, and as a Nacha speaker and committee planning member, Adam continues to help shape the future of faster payments.
