Spotlight Session: Successfully Developing an ACH Operations Governance Model
Overview
As the ACH Network and Nacha Operating Rules continue to evolve, it is critical for financial institutions to understand the financial and regulatory impacts that the changes and emerging threats pose to businesses. Speakers in this session review their success story as they developed a centralized ACH Operations Group to strengthen their current model to stay on top of emerging ACH issues by enlisting cross-functional leaders to reduce the risks of ACH transactions across the enterprise. Attendees come away from the session with a look at how, within a framework of a centralized ACH Operations Group, they can establish roles and responsibilities for risk management, legal requirements, operational impacts, system configuration and fraud mitigations efforts. While the road to reach a goal of centralizing ACH Operation was not always smooth, the positive impacts to the business has been significant.
