Risk mitigation and account validation has never played a more critical role in the faster payments ecosystem than it does today. Utilization of smart, efficient and real-time tools to ward off a bad outcome is critical to any successful program. Speakers in this session provide a blueprint of where and when to deploy such tools including a review of the analytics, how “fuzzy” logic plays a role in forming algorithmic and successful mechanisms to provide a better outcome and how to manage regulatory and Fair Credit Reporting Act requirements as they impact the payment and decision-making. A forensic analysis of where payments and mitigation are headed will also be reviewed, especially where virtual or mnemonic-based accounts are becoming a core component in an age where tokenization has taken on an imperative role in secure payment processing. Attendees come away from the session with an idea of what the future holds both for consumer and commercial processing. We’ll explore questions such as: What is the blueprint for success for a risk mitigation program? What does the customer experience look like both for a happy path and the converse where the payment data is either not sufficient or yields a negative notification to a counterparty?
