The Global State of Central Bank Digital Currencies

The industry has been discussing Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) for over 5 years. Some countries have launched projects, some are piloting, and others have canceled their efforts entirely. The Federal Reserve is taking a two-pronged approach to its evaluation—one project addressing technology considerations and another addressing policy considerations.
