Smarter Payments Experience
Remote Connect

The Federal Reserve continues to be on the frontlines of evolution in payments, with integrity, safety and transparency as the backbone steering our work. Now, during these unusual times, we are reminded of how quickly day-to-day stability can be disrupted and the growing importance of having an agile U.S. payment system that can meet global, national and local needs. Panelists discuss new developments that are forthcoming from the Federal Reserve as it builds the FedNow Service, an instant payments system that will be accessible 24 hours a day, seven days-a-week, 365 days-a-year.

Questions answered during this session:

1. What enhancements is the Federal Reserve spearheading for its traditional payments rails?
2. With industry appetite for instant payments growing, what milestones and plans are ahead in the Fed's development of FedNow?
