Nacha Cancels Smarter Faster Payments Conference and Moves to a Fully Virtual Payments Remote Connect

After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to cancel Nacha’s Smarter Faster Payments in-person event and move to a fully virtual conference, Smarter Faster Payments Remote Connect to be held August 23-26, 2021.

Throughout the pandemic, Nacha has relied on public health guidance, and updates from the state of California, County and City of San Francisco and the Moscone Center. Although the state currently has a plan to reopen, even under the best circumstances, there remains too much uncertainty surrounding a conference of our size. While the current pace of COVID-19 vaccine rollout is promising, several variants are impacting the U.S. Additionally, there are ongoing company travel restrictions for attendees, speakers, exhibitors and sponsors. For these reasons, we have concluded that it is not feasible to host a large, in-person, multi-day conference.

If you have registered for the conference, Nacha will reach out to you to transition your registration to Remote Connect. If you have booked a hotel room in Nacha’s room block, the hotel will automatically cancel your reservation, so please keep an eye out for an email from your hotel.

Remote Connect offers the actionable, leading-edge content you expect from Nacha with more than 120 sessions from industry leaders. The event will feature unique engagement opportunities including attendee-to-attendee messaging and meetings, a multitude of sessions with live speaker Q&A, the ability to engage in specialized small group discussions and demos, a chance to learn about the latest solutions at the virtual exhibit hall, plus fun events including happy hours, lunch and learns, and thought-provoking keynote speakers.

This is extremely disappointing for Nacha as we were very much looking forward to bringing the industry together in person. We will ensure that Remote Connect delivers outstanding content and experiences for our many stakeholders. The conference will feature a stellar platform that will deliver exciting and compelling new ways to interact and engage to meet our community’s varied needs for learning, networking and business development.
