HERNDON, Va., April 30, 2008—Ben Mezrich, author of popular bestseller Bringing Down the House: The Inside Story of Six M.I.T. Students Who Took Vegas for Millions (the basis for 21, an MGM feature film starring Kevin Spacey), will deliver the PAYMENTS 2008 Awards Luncheon keynote address at NACHA’s annual electronic payments conference. The Awards Luncheon recognizes outstanding leadership and accomplishments in the electronic payments industry. This year’s conference will be held in Las Vegas from May 18-21, 2008 at the MGM Grand.
“NACHA is delighted to add Ben Mezrich to an already outstanding conference program,” said Elliott C. McEntee, president and CEO of NACHA—The Electronic Payments Association. “PAYMENTS 2008 is the premier payments industry conference, providing attendees with the leadership, solutions, and innovations they need to manage today’s rapidly changing payments landscape.”

Sessions handouts with audio will also be available to all conference attendees for ninety days following the conference.
Other environmental initiatives include placing recycling bins throughout the MGM Grand Conference Center, partnering with a local charity to donate non-recyclable conference materials, and supporting reforestation efforts by providing the Arbor Day Foundation with a display area and attendees with the opportunity to donate $1 to plant a tree.
PAYMENTS 2008 features more than 145 sessions and workshops and includes speakers from financial institutions, companies, government agencies, consulting and research firms, and service providers.
